So True, There Are So Many Cover Ups In The Government. ⭐⭐

Subway Shark 2024 is a comedy mockumentary made as part of an annual event where feature film makers are encouraged to make a movie of 40 minutes or more instead of watching the Oscars. This one was made to avoid watching the 96th annual academy awards. Cody Clarke of the existential movie, No Shark and Invisible Shark fame is both producer and director. It mixes tropes from Urban myths and the conspiracy theories that grow from and around them. The idea works with the type of light gonzo journalism being acted out here. So, what you get is an amusing set of interviews with ordinary New Yorkers (or so we are told) coupled with a contradictory fueled origin story that can only be clarified in the end credits. However, the shark count and the bikini count are nonexistent, it's still sharksploitation but not as you know it. None the less an enjoyable way to celebrate avoiding Oscar night. Its apparently based on true events, Shark on a subway, only in America. It's the fourth feature length movie of its type that I know of and define as allegorical sharksploitation.
